"Ouija Board" searches for new title

According to SCI-FI Wire,the upcoming supernatural horror pic which involves residents of a Northern California town taking their obsession with an Ouija board too far in 1920,has to be retitled.Why? Because the filmmakers couldn't come up with the finances to buy the rights to the name from Parker Brothers (the board game guys) and therefore the film currently is awaiting a new tag.The pic is slated to star Lou Diamond Phillips,Jacoby Shaddix,Pam Grier,Ellen Albertini-Dow,and Christopher Holly. "Ouija Board" Writer/Director Ryan McKinney recently revealed to SCI FI Wire that his upcoming supernatural horror film is based on a real incident from 1920 where residents of a Northern California town became obsessed with the then-new invention of the Ouija board. Unfortunately the filmmakers couldn't come up with the proper money to buy the rights to use the trademarked name,which is held by the boardgame maker Parker Brothers.
